'Winter Evening' DK yarn

Hand dyed SW merino/nylon DK yarn. These gorgeous shades of ice blue, navy blue, dark plum, light plum and grey make a beautiful, striking, wintery DK yarn. It is soft and luxurious but has the nylon for strength making it great for any scarf or shawl, socks, or other project. Coordinates with 'Frosty Blue', 'The Long Winter', 'Berries and Cream', 'Plumberry', and 'Winterberry' for a winter set.

'Winter Evening'
75% superwash merino
25% nylon
245 yards/100 grams

Every effort was made to photograph the colors accurately, however since monitors vary the colors could vary also. Message me with any questions.

Dyed with professional strength acid dyes.
All hand dyed yarn can vary from skein to skein since each are dyed individually.
If you are using more than one skein for your project it is advisable to alternate skeins every row or 2 rows.

It is recommended that you hand wash, machine wash gentle, or machine wash in a mesh bag and hang or lay flat to dry.

Some slight bleeding can occur in any hand dyed product the first few washes, so you may want to wash separately. I carefully rinsed this yarn until no more dye came from it.

So often when I look for DK, I find a skein I crave but nothing to go with it. I prefer to have several different coordinating colors in a project than just one of the same yarn. Anyway, with The Wooly Cabin, it seems that there are plenty of colors that go together, all in DK. That's usually the case with sock weight but not DK. Dawn made it possible for me to make a trio of DK (a surprisingly cotton-fleecey-soft blend of 75% SWM/25% Nylon base at 245 yds) with this Winter Evening, Plumberry, and Berries and Cream. This trio will make a wonderfully warm shawl for winter in just the right winter colors. One that won't be overpoweringly large! [I could have made a 5 skein shawl by continuing with the midnight blue in Winter Evening ending with a winter blue and cream skein, but chose not to; those are for another project.]
